How long have you been involved with football, and what has been your level of involvement up to your current post?

 

Being Involved with the League for 36 years.

Tell us a little about yourself?

Started as Manager with Hallam Rangers, it was then a local Youth Club with just one team and is one of the oldest clubs in the league.  Serviced on the league committee since 1978 and being President for the last 10 years.

What have been your highs and lows during your time involved with grassroots football?

Highs:  Being involved with organizing an international youth football tournament in 1980.

Lows:   Witnessing a mass brawl between 2 under 18 teams at a Presentation Night at the Dial House club in the 1980's.       

What other roles/involvement do you have with the game on a local level?

A member of the Sheffield & Hallamshire FA Council and serve on Development and Coaching Committee and PR & Marketing Committee.

What do you love most about your role with the League?

Just helping to run the best leagues in junior football in England.

If you could give one piece of advice to a member club, what would it be?

Do not let your Manager or Parents criticize the referee.
