Hello All
Well we now just have the Cup Finals to go as far as the playing side is concerned of this season which has dragged on longer than Gordon Brown’s premiership!!!
Then on Monday we start with the Presentation Evenings at Barnsley Metrodome, where all the players (and managers) will be rewarded. If your team has managed to reach the Metrodome then I wonder if you are aware that swimming is available after the trophies have been handed out and that each club has a code of conduct to sign, ensuring that behaviour is in keeping with the event. If as parents you are not aware of this then you should get in touch with your club secretary who has been furnished with all the relevant information. Also remember that these evenings are aimed at the players and issues that may have arisen between teams in the season should be left at home. Mike does not want to have to stand between rival managers again!!!!
These presentations draw the end to our season and alot of hard work goes into these so please support them. If you know you have finished first or second and have not heard anything then get in touch with your secretary and find out why not.
Come the 1st June all players are free to move to other clubs as registrations will have ceased, some may move on , the majority will stay where they are, but remember winning is not everything and as long as the player enjoys playing then it does not matter at what standard he/she plays.
Finally the League has gained Charter Standard and my thanks go to Nathan our secretary for all his hard work in achieving this. There is no reason why every club in our League can not achieve Charter Standard and the League and County FA will do everything to help you achieve this.
