**NEW LEAGUE NOTICES**
*A massive well done to all those teams who have or will complete the season this weekend.

*The following League meetings have changed:
May 11th (League Meeting) - 8:00pm - PLEASE NOTE THIS START TIME
June 8th (League Meeting) - 7:30pm
June 15th (New managers meeting) - 7:30pm
June 22nd (AGM) - 7pm

*This week, all those clubs who have mathematically won either a League or the runners-up trophy, have had a letter inviting them to the presentation evening sent to their club secretary. The rest will be sent as soon as the winners/ runners-up are determined.

*Charter Standard Clinics: To help support clubs obtain Charter Standard also to help the clubs that will be going through the new Charter Standard annual renewal process or to help clubs obtain the kitemark standard: http://www.junleague.com/viewarticle.aspx?id=1741
*Details regarding the Charter Standard annual health check are now on the League website (http://www.junleague.com/viewarticle.aspx?id=1547). If the deadline for the health check is not met, then clubs will lose this award.
*A reminder that the Cup/Trophy competition will commence again on May 2nd at the Quarter Finals stage. The Semi Finals will take place on May 9th and the Finals are on May 16th
Please note that on May 2nd, the final games in the Championship are due to take place with a 1pm kick off.

**WELFARE NEWS**
RESPECT Video Competition Prize worth over £200
Sheffield & District Junior League RESPECT Video Competition
As you will be aware, this League is running a RESPECT video compeition - details can be found at http://www.junleague.com/viewarticle.aspx?id=2202.
The prize for the winning team entry is the following:

The prize has come from the County FA Charter Standard League umbro vouchers scheme.

A reminder that from next season (2010/2011) in order to affiliate with the County FA, all clubs in this league must have a named Welfare Officer, who has an ‘accepted’ CRB check via The FA CRB Unit and who has completed The FA Safeguarding Children and Welfare Officer Workshop (WOW). The Safeguarding Children and Welfare Officer Workshop have to be renewed every 3 years and must be valid at the time of affiliation.

**SUSPENSIONS**
A list of County FA player/managers suspensions can be found on the League Website, in the documents section.
Mr. Ian Cogill, Rotherham. Under the terms of the suspension, Mr. Cogill must not participate in any football activity involving children under the age of 18 years. Activity includes managing, coaching, refereeing, playing, undertaking administrative duties, transportation on behalf of the Club (other than in relation to his own children) or any other activity which brings him into contact with children under the age of 18. The suspension does not prohibit attendance as a spectator. The suspension does not prohibit participation in adult football.

‘Introduction to Funding’ course, to be held on Monday 17 May, 9.30 – 12.30 at The Circle. This free course is useful for anyone who is new to funding, and provides an overview of where funding comes from and why. Sheffield Funding Fair

Sheffield volunteering website launched
A new website to promote volunteering in the city has been launched by Volunteer Centre Sheffield. The site offers a range of information and advice for people wanting to volunteer and organisations that use or want to use volunteers, as well as employers who are supporting their employees to volunteer. Lord Mayor's Civic Awards Scheme
The search is on to find Sheffielders who have done something wonderful for the city, its communities or residents. This annual award scheme is to honour Sheffield's residents who have shown exemplary service or who have done something special and deserve recognition for their efforts. Sheffield has made the final shortlist to become the first UK City of Culture in 2013 - a title that would bring significant economic and social benefits to the city.
