  • Reminder no player registration cards no game. Clubs are signing the match card to say that they have checked the opposition match cards and that the match card contains the correct information. If, during, or after the game, it is found out that a player does not have or has an incorrect registration card, both managers will be charged with a breach of competition rules.
  • The tick-box returns were sent out on the 29th December 2009 by email. The deadline for returning the forms is the 12th March 2010

  • Please remember all results have to be reported by 6pm on Sunday evening. Please send all the results to results@junleague.com and League Cup/Trophy results must also be emailed to cupresults@junleague.com A number of people are emailing results to the League Secretary, which prevents the other people who access the results@junleague.com email address from viewing the results. REMEMBER THE HOME TEAM IS FINED £5 PER MISSING OR LATE RESULT.
  • Nominations for the Eric Service award need to be sent to the League Secretary before the 31st March 2010. This is the award for any club member that does work behind the scenes for a club all without reward and above the norm - loosely termed the "Unsung hero Award."
  • I have put an information sheet in the League Info area on the League Website (www.junleague.com). The sheet answers the most frequently asked questions I receive, so I hope you find it a useful tool – please make sure all your managers read it.
  • A reminder that the up-to-date contact details for all managers can be found on the League website (www.junleague.com) in the League Info area.

England Football Day

The entire England team and The Football Association want to promote YOUR club.

So make sure you hold an 'England Football Day' event on 12 June 2010 when the Three Lions kick-off their FIFA World Cup™ campaign in South Africa, against the USA.

There's no better time to promote playing football and the benefits of your club than when the England team are in action. So Rio Ferdinand and the boys really can help.

The game against the USA starts at 7.30pm, so why not plan an event before then, and then all watch the game - or sprinkle a bit of England Football Day magic over an existing event. You could use 'England Football Day' to:

  • Attract new players, coaches and volunteers
  • Raise funds
  • Enhance club facilities

To help, an FA resource pack will available in April to help you run and promote 'England Football Day' at your club - with prizes available for the best events.

What to do next?

  • Have a think about the type of event you could hold
  • Speak to your County FA for any more information - and look out for The FA 'England Football Day' resource pack coming your way in April.

Sheffield & Hallamshire FA in partnership with the National Sports Academy and the Sports Marketing Network are hosting a free workshop called “Grow your Football Club” open to all affiliated clubs.
