http://www.acesports.freeserve.co.uk/
Sheffield City Council has suspended all football on council pitches this weekend (see the League website for more details).
http://www.proactiveteamwear.co.uk/
A reminder that the re-arranged League Meeting will take place on date of Tuesday 19th January 2010 at the Philadelphia Social Club and it is vital that a representative from all clubs attend, preferable club secretaries. The main topic of discussion will be the fixture backlog. The minutes and agenda have previously been circulated.
The tick-box returns were sent out on the 29th December 2009 by email. The deadline for returning the forms is the 12th March 2010.
I am currently working on the League application forms to affiliate clubs to the League next season. To make it easier for club secretaries, I am trying to get the majority of the forms to be pre-populated with the information you have already supplied to the League. The form will still require some filling out, but hopefully I will have cut down the work required.
The League is busy working on becoming a Charter Standard League and formulating a development plan for the League.
**OLD BUT RELEVANT LEAGUE NOTICES**
- The re-arranged League Meeting will take place on date of Tuesday 19th January 2010 at the same venue for and is it vital that a representative from all clubs attend, preferable club secretaries. The main topic of discussion will be the fixture backlog. As it stands at present, the last date in the season is Sunday 4th April 2010. No fixtures should be re-arranged past this date at the moment. At the meeting on the 19th January, we should be in a position to give clubs more ideas on the fixture blacklog and how we can all work together to overcome it.
- U13’s & U16’s can play League fixtures on the same day as the County Cup Final. The League thank the County FA for this change in policy for this season. (see the League website for more details).
- A reminder that when your game is called off, then the game must be rearranged and the new date submitted to your age group registrar in writing or by email, by both Clubs, within fourteen days of the postponement of the fixture date. Any Club failing to comply with this Rule shall be liable to a minimum fine of £10-00 or otherwise dealt with at the discretion of the Management Committee. Remember midweek matches in this League can only take place on a Tuesday and Thursday.
- A reminder about Domestic Rule 9C: If after the 1st of January in each season, the home pitch is unfit for play, the game must be played on the away teams pitch if available and playable and the kick-off time will not be affected, unless mutually agreed. In all cases every effort must be made to play the fixture on the date scheduled.
- Clubs are reminded that SDJFL League tables must not appear on club websites.
- The under 16 Sheffield & Hallamshire County Cup Final will take place on Sunday, 11th April, 2010 – Kick-off 11.00 am at Hallam F.C
The League has added two additional meetings in February, both taking place at the Philadelphia Club - time to be advised.
- Tuesday 9th February* - WELFARE OFFICERS MEETING to collect Respect packs and an update session. Respect packs consist of: Code of Conducts for each team within your club, a captain’s arm-band for each team within your club and a Respect DVD per club. Note those clubs that attended the recent Charter Standard Information sessions held by Sheffield & Hallamshire CFA have already received the respect packs. *NOTE: DATE COULD CHANGE – AS SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY ARE AT HOME THAT EVENING
- Wednesday 10th February 2009 - TROPHY RETURN MEETING - ALL ANNUAL trophies to be returned to this meeting so they can be inspected for damage etc. They will not be accepted at the February meeting or the welfare meeting. They MUST be brought back to this meeting. The drop-off session commences at 7.30pm
- In order to help with developing the League can I ask clubs to consider the following questions: A) What does the League do well? B) Where can the League improve? C) What suggestions does your club have in order to help improve the League? No time limit in responding to the above, but I am keen to hear from every club. Please send comments to the League Secretary (nathan.batchelor@junleague.com).
- If you have any news stories, please let me have them, so that I can include them on the League website.
- I have put an information sheet in the League Info area on the League Website (www.junleague.com). The sheet answers the most frequently asked questions I receive, so I hope you find it a useful tool – please make sure all your managers read it.
- Please remember all results have to be reported by 6pm on Sunday evening. Please send all the results to results@junleague.com and League Cup/Trophy results must also be emailed to cupresults@junleague.com A number of people are emailing results to the League Secretary, which prevents the other people who access the results@junleague.com email address from viewing the results.
- A reminder that the up-to-date contact details for all managers can be found on the League website (www.junleague.com) in the League Info area.
- All club secretaries are reminded that when they have received a standard match card fine i.e. no sporting points they must contact the age group registrar with the missing details (as well as pay the fine).
- A reminder that clubs can bring forward league fixtures, just let your age-group registrar know. If you find yourself with a blank week and also know that another team within your division is not playing please arrange to play your league fixture, as this will help everyone.
