Welcome to this weeks e-newsletter. The purpose of the e-newsletters is to keep you informed of news and events within the league and the wider grassroots football community.

 

 

**LEAGUE NOTICES**

 

 

  • The League enters its 40th year this season. How do you want to celebrate this? Please give me your thoughts and ideas. Are you willing to help to organise the celebrations? So far I have no response to this.

 

 

 

  • If anyone from the Worksop and Barnsley area would like to join the League Committee please email the League Secretary (Nathan.batchelor@junleague.com).

 

  • Dinnington School have been in contact to inform me they have a pitch available for matches. Anyone wanting to hire the pitch should contact Liam Kay at the school on 01909 550066

 

 

 

**UNDER 7s & UNDER 8s**

As explained on the recent fixture list email, the League will list those teams in the Under 7s and Under 8s who have blank fixtures, in order to try to get them extra games. Remember the under 7s and under 8s do not play in a competitive league.

 

Under 7s – 20th September: Chesterfield Town, Dronfield Town, Whiston Wildcats, Bramley Sunnyside, Brampton Rovers, Handley Wood, Hillsborough Pumas, Greasborough Youth.

 

Under 7s – 27th September: Dronfield Town, Maltby Juniors, Eckington Boys, Chesterfield Town Jnrs, Brinsworth Whitehill, Greenall Juniors, Darfield JFC, Rawmarsh St Joseph, Redfearns, Wickersley Youth, Worksop Boys Club, Worksop Town.

 

Under 8s -20th September: Hoyland Common Falcons, Beighton Magpies, Charnock Ridgeway, Middlewood, Handsworth , Kiverton Park

 

Under 8s – 27th September: Sheffield Sixes, Aston Juniors, Maltby Juniors, Wickersley Youth, Charnock Ridgeway, Hillsborough Pumas, Redfearns, Handworth Boys, Junior Tykes, Killamarsh.

Second support and information evening to be held

 

Due to the success of our first event held last month, Sheffield & Hallamshire FA will be hosting a second Charter Standard, Respect & Welfare Officer Support & Information Evening.

Wednesday 23rd September 2009
Best Western Elton Hotel,Main St, Bramley, Rotherham 7pm – 9.30pm

The aim of the event is to provide clubs with information regarding the latest changes in the Charter Standard Criteria and also provide support and guidance on how to run a event for your teams. You will also receive a free FA RESPECT DVD resource for use at future Club Events.

It is imperative that all Welfare Officers attend at least one support session each season with the County Welfare O

fficer, this being your first opportunity of the 2009-10 season. Attendance at this session also counts towards the clubs required attendance at Charter Standard “in-service” training.

Level One Coaching Course - Chesterfield Town are running a FA Level One Coaching Course over four days in the October half-term starting on October the 26th. It will be staged in Chesterfield and will cost only £110-00. The contact number for the course is Barry Tomlinson on 07748 771770.
