Welcome to this weeks e-newsletter. The purpose of the e-newsletters is to keep you informed of news and events within the league and the wider grassroots football community.
**LEAGUE NOTICES**
- The League kicks -off this week. Good luck to everyone.
- The League enters its 40th year this season. How do you want to celebrate this? Please give me your thoughts and ideas. Are you willing to help to organise the celebrations?
- League Meetings - Following the last League meeting, the League Committee have met to discuss the issue regarding making the meetings bi-monthly. Club Secretaries (only) have the opportunity to write to the League Secretary with their views on this matter.
- If anyone from the Worksop and Barnsley area would like to join the League Committee please email the League Secretary (Nathan.batchelor@junleague.com).
- When sending in requests to postpone matches a number of people are entering vague information such as “we have a few players away”. You need to state how many players and the reason why. Teams entering vague information will be informed the request cannot be granted until more detailed information is received.
- Someone picked up Millhouses fixture posters up by mistake at Tuesday’s League meeting. If this is your club, can you please arrange to pass the posters on to Millhouses. Thanks.
- The following clubs are looking for players: East Midland U15, Greasbrough Youth FC Under 7's, Rotherham Phoenix U9 & U14. If you can help, please contact the clubs direct.

**UNDER 7s & UNDER 8s**
As explained on the recent fixture list email, the League will list those teams in the Under 7s and Under 8s who have blank fixtures, in order to try to get them extra games. Remember the under 7s and under 8s do not play in a competitive league.
Under 7s – 13th September: Handsworth, Maltby Juniors, SYWO, Bramley Sunnyside, Chesterfield Town Jnrs, Sheffield Rangers, Whiston Wildcats, Thorncliffe Jnrs, Beighton Magpies, Brampton Rovers, Darfield JFC, Hillsborough Pumas, Millmoor Jnrs, Rawmarsh St Joseph, Wickersley Youth, Worksop Boys, Worksop Town.
Under 7s – 20th September: Chesterfield Town, Dronfield Town, Whiston Wildcats, Bramley Sunnyside, Brampton Rovers, Handley Wood, Hillsborough Pumas, Greasborough Youth.

The first of three editions for Season 09/10 of the new look SoccerScene Magazine from Sheffield & Hallamshire FA is available to download now, if you have not already received a printed version.
Sheffield & Hallamshire FA have expanded the magazine to include a pull out section from The Football Association keeping you informed of the national initiatives and priorities for the development of grassroots football.
The feature story for this issue is Sheffield 2018 – Back the Bid, and gives you an insight into the work being conducted around the bid by its key partners including Sheffield & Hallamshire FA. Being selected as a host city will have a profound effect on the region as a whole and it is important that everyone registers their support for Sheffield at www.england2018bid.com
In this issue we also welcome Brian Jones, new elected Chairman of Sheffield & Hallamshire FA with an in-depth interview. Brian replaces Maurice Matthews who successfully held the position for 22 years.

**CLUB DEVELOPMENT**
