E-Newsletter Issue 7

Issue 7

Welcome to this weeks e-newsletter. The purpose of the e-newsletters is to keep you informed of news and events within the league and the wider grassroots football community.

**LEAGUE NOTICES**

Correction from the last issue: The blue match cards are for the U7s only.

  • Standard Code Of Rules Meeting – Matt will feedback on this at Tuesdays meeting. The good news is that players can still de-register and join another club in the same season.

  • The League enters its 40th year this season. How do you want to celebrate this? Please give me your thoughts and ideas. Are you willing to help to organise the celebrations?

  • League Meetings - Following the last League meeting, the League Committee have met to discuss the issue regarding making the meetings bi-monthly. Club Secretaries (only) have the opportunity to write to the League Secretary with their views on this matter.

  • For those teams in “short” divisions, the League will be looking at fixtures with a view to adding in extra games for teams

  • If anyone from the Worksop and Barnsley area would like to join the League Committee please email the League Secretary (Nathan.batchelor@junleague.com).

  • The Cup draw sent out this week was for the preliminary stage of the competition. All U9s take part in the preliminary stage, with the winners going through to the Cup competition and losing teams enter the plate competition. U10 to U16, if your team is not down then you enter the competition in the first round. All cup results should be emailed to (matt.hardman@junleague.com)

  • When sending in requests to postpone matches a number of people are entering vague information such as “we have a few players away”. You need to state how many players and the reason why. Teams entering vague information will be informed the request cannot be granted until more detailed information is received.
